Love them or hate them, but re-releases are here to stay, for the time being anyway. The latest title to be announced as a re-release for the next-gen consoles is Saints Row 4 as announced by developer Volition during the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.
The re-release of Saints Row 4 will be a direct port with enhanced graphics and the like. One notable addition is the inclusion of voice commands; though there’s not many details on how this will work just yet.
Saints Row 4 originally release back in 2013 for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to rave reviews from critics and fans of the outlandish series alike.
Saints Row 4 will release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 27th of next year, so not too long to wait.
The new generation of consoles has seen its fair share of re-releases most of which have been well received by players (The Last of Us, Tomb Raider). However there is a divide, much like Pepsi vs. Coke, players a split as to whether these ‘new’ games are worth the asking price.
What do you think of re-releases? Are they worth the time and money? Will you be delving into a second slice of Saints Row 4’s ‘special’ brownies? Let us know down in the comments section below.
