Salmon Run, one of the returning fan favourite game modes, makes a comeback in Splatoon 3. The popular horde-based game mode has eager players ready to dive in and begin tackling the waves of enemies Splatoon 3 is prepared to throw at them. Unfortunately, you can’t jump straight in, however, here’s exactly how to unlock Salmon Run in Splatoon 3.

How To Unlock Salmon Run In Splatoon 3
When you first boot up Splatoon 3, it may seem relatively lean in its content, meaning there’s not much to do. Elements such as being able to kit out your locker, and of course, Salmon Run appear to be locked out for players to check out.
As with most games, Splatoon 3 wants to take its time introducing its various elements to you. While you may be eager to instantly jump into the biggest and best game modes it has to offer, unfortunately, you’re going to have to accept the breaks are on for the first couple of hours.
In order to unlock Salmon Run, you simply have to power through the game and reach level 4. Once this has been achieved, Salmon Run, and a few other activities, become available for the player to interact with and explore. This can easily be done by jumping into a few online matches and earning XP, and shouldn’t take too long at all.
With this completed, you’ll need to visit Grizzco’s store in the Splatoon 3 lobby, which you can achieve manually or by using the menu to fast travel there. Once you’ve arrived, simply speak to Grizzco, who will introduce you to the world of Salmon Run.
After a short tutorial involving two missions; one teaching you everything you need to know about Salmon Run, and the other introducing bosses you will be faced with, Salmon Run will be unlocked for you to play to your heart’s content.
