How To Get Silky Sand In Slime Rancher 2
To be able to collect Silky Sand from Rainbow Island, you must first get a Resources Harvester. To do this you must collect 10 Cotton Plorts and exchange them at the Fabricator in the Science Lab underneath the Conservatory. Once you have deposited your Plorts, buy the Resources Harvester Upgrade.
Cotton Plorts are dropped by Cotton Slimes, these are readily available near the Conservatory starting area, they will look like rabbits.
Now you have the collector, you must locate brown geysers. These are dotted around the world near beach areas, most commonly found in Ember Valley or the Starlight Strand map. To collect the Silky Sand, simply use your multi-purpose gun to suck from the geyser and Silky Sand should drop out.
Ember Valley is the easiest place to unlock first for silky sand as it only requires you to defeat a Pink Gordo.
