As you progress through Disney Dreamlight Valley, many obstacles will block your progress – including bones. At first, it’s fairly small stuff such as a few rocks or a couple of thorns, but eventually, you’ll need to upgrade your gear to manoeuvre past bigger roadblocks.
Unfortunately, Disney Dreamlight Valley never directly points you in the right direction on where you need to go to upgrade your set of tools. Most of the time enhancements are locked behind Friendship Quests, which means you’re going to need to spend a lot of time hanging out with your residents. However, there is one such obstacle in Disney Dreamlight Valley that is still eluding players, and that is the bones found in the Sunlit Plateau biome.

How To Remove Bones In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you unlock the Sunlit Plateau biome in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll notice it’s pretty much a barren wasteland. For any Disney fans out there, you’ll most likely feel a striking resemblance to the Elephant Graveyard from The Lion King.
Scattered throughout the new area will be piles of bones, which appear to be blocking various chests and other resources. As with most obstacles in this game, you can easily use your tools to remove them, but the game gives no guidance on how to do so with bones and there’s a simple answer to that – you can’t.
At present, there’s no confirmed way of being able to remove bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This may be a hindrance if you’re looking to access the other side of the river in the Sunlit Plateau, but don’t worry, there’s a workaround.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Sunlit Plateau Bones
In order to bypass the bones blocking your path, there are two methods of doing so:
- Remove the thorns to the Forgotten Lands for 20,000 Dreamlight and use that biome to travel to the other side.
- Enter build mode and move the wishing well to the other side of the river and use it to fast travel there.
The latter is the cheapest and easiest way of being able to access the blocked-off area in the Sunlit Plateau, but if you have a chunk of Dreamlight sitting around in your pocket, that’s also a great permanent option.

When Will You Be Able To Remove Bones In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unfortunately, there is no confirmed method or date for when the feature may be added. That being said, it’s a pretty safe bet to believe the ability to remove bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be introduced in the first major update.
Expected to arrive over the next few weeks, Update 1 will introduce Scar as a permanent resident in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Additionally, it’s said the main story will be continued in this update, and considering the bone-filled area is reminiscent of a key area from The Lion King, we can most likely anticipate the ability to be introduced then.
Outside a Fall 2022 release window, there’s no confirmed date for the first major update, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we have word on its arrival.
