PC gamers are treated to some of the best gaming experiences available, partly due to being able to modify their games and extend their playability far beyond what was originally intended. Just look at the likes of GTA IV which is a fairly old game by now, but it still has a large player base on the PC platform, simply because modding the game is so much fun!
Unfortunately Ryse: Son of Rome for the PC won’t be receiving any official modding support from Crytek, at least that’s what Crytek’s Brian Chambers recently told GamingBolt in an interview.
When asked whether Ryse: Son of Rome for PC would be receiving support from user-generated content or mod kits, Chambers said “I’m a fan of UGC and mod’s in general, but there’s currently no plan for either with this release.”
It’s a bummer that Crytek won’t be sorting us out with some official mod kits, but I’m sure the community will find a way around it. They have always done so in the past, and I’m sure it’ll continue in the future.
Ryse: Son of Rome is out now on Xbox One and is available on PC from tomorrow. You can pre-order your PC download code and get playing the moment it releases!
