Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will most likely be getting a multiplayer component and if recent information is anything to go on, then it’ll be more or less the same deal as previous multiplayer entries.
Job postings on the Naughty Dog official website state that they are looking for people to help with “planning, setup and tuning of multiplayer from high concept to object placement and scripting.” In other words, take the concept art and turn it into a fun multiplayer arena.
The second posting states that the responsibilities will require candidates to “design and balance multiplayer systems like player customization, weapons, progression & unlocks, and the online user experience.” So going by this we can also assume that players will once again be able to customise their characters, though to what extent, we do not know.
There is however a chance that these job listings aren’t related to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. They could be for Naught Dog’s unannounced new IP, or even The Last of Us 2. However, at this time it’s most likely Uncharted 4 related, due to it being out next year.
Personally, I’ve always found the customisation options to be a little lacking in Uncharted games and even The Last of Us for that matter. It’d be really cool if they could implement a way to get your face onto your multiplayer character, as has been done with other game franchises.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime next year. You can pre-order your copy and sit patiently until it falls through the letter box.
