Evolution Studios – the team behind Driveclub – has announced that by way of compensation for the issues players faced during the launch, all of November’s Driveclub DLC will be free.
The developer posted a lengthy statement on their official Facebook page.
“We know you have all been extremely patient and understandably frustrated during DRIVECLUB’s launch, and to show our appreciation for the support during this challenging time, we will be offering the premium DLC packs for November (25th November-SCEA/26th November-SCEE/27th November-SCEJ) free to those who purchased the full game.”
The two new premium DLC packs which you’ll be able to download free of charge will add five new cars, 10 new trophies to compete for, 22 new tour events to partake in and another 1o livery items.
Not too shabby, eh? That’s not all. Evolution also stated that Driveclub will be getting it’s next update tomorrow which will add three new tracks and the eagerly awaited Photo Mode, along with the following:
- Improved multiplayer collision physics to reduce frustrating spin-outs
- Adjustments to soften the corner cutting penalty system
- Options in the club menu to view everything your club has unlocked
- A fix to allow all club owners to update their club badges
It’s good to see Evolution working hard to make right the wrongs, but some may feel it’s a little too late and with no hopes of Driveclub PS Plus Edition being released anytime soon, they may have lost out on a few would-be customers.
