Assassin’s Creed: Rogue released last year to fairly positive reviews, more so than its next-gen counterpart Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
Originally slated for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft confirmed that the story that bridges the gaps between Assassin’s Creed IV: Black flag and Assassin’s Creed III would be coming to the PC, though no release date was ever mentioned other than a vague promise of “early 2015.”
However, the release date may be sooner than we think.
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue has recently been rated by the German ratings board, the USK who rated the game as only available for those of 16 years of age or more.
Originally Assassin’s Creed: Rogue got an 18 rating across most of the world, but Germany’s ratings are a little different so expect this to be the edited edition with much less gore than is normal.
So with the German rating board rating the game should we expect to see Rogue release on the PC soon? Probably. Games typically release within weeks of being rated, so if you’ve been itching to fight on the dark side of the Templar vs Assassin war you won’t have to wait too long.
What of the rumoured PS4 and Xbox One versions? They’ve yet to be confirmed by Ubisoft but the popular opinion is that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will be ported to the PS4 and Xbox One to release alongside this years Assassin’s Creed: Victory.
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is currently only on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and if you cant wait for the PC version to drop, you can get your hands on the console versions from Amazon for a pretty decent price.
Will you be picking up Assassin’s Creed: Rogue on PC? Or did the PS3/Xbox 360 version quench you of your thirst for digital blood? Sneak to the comments and leave your opinion.
