The long-awaited Assassin’s Creed movie, based on the series of the same name and starring Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises) will finally start filming this year ahead of its 2016 release date.
Speaking with comingsoon.net, Fassbender stated that “it just takes time to get a good story together and we really want to do it right,” going on to reveal that “it’s exciting. It’s going to start this year, we’ll be filming in September.”
Finally… The movie, which we don’t even know the name of or if it’ll actually connect to any of the games is set to release on December 21st next year.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a massive turd like some other video-game-to-movie adaptations.
