Warner Bros’ attempt to enter the lucrative video-games-powered-by-expensive-toys market has so far been met with some interest from gamers looking for their next LEGO fix.
Much in the same vein as Activision’s Skylanders and Disney’s Disney Infinity, Warner Bros’ LEGO Dimensions will come as a standard game that can be upgraded and tinkered with by purchasing separate toys that interact with the game.
So far we’ve not heard much about what sort of extra content will be available, but thanks to Walmart and their gung-ho approach to listing new products, we may some confirmation as to what we’ll be seeing in the future.
The Walmart website listed three ‘Fun Packs’ named Chima – Cragger, Chima – Eris and Chima – Laval.
Then there are the ‘Team Packs’ and ‘Level Packs’ with the former including Jurassic World and Scooby Doo while the latter will bring the colourful world of The Simpsons and the physics bending Portal to LEGO Dimensions.
The listings have since been removed by the US retailer, but you can at least see one listing here thanks to Google’s handy web cache. God bless you Google.
