It’s official: Fallout 4 is indeed a real thing – though we didn’t really expect that teaser website to be about anything else, really.
However, even though the announcement has seemingly come a little earlier than expected, Best Buy are already prepared for the inevitable swathe of pre-orders.
The Best Buy website is listing Fallout 4 on PS4, Xbox One and PC for the standard $59.99 with the option to pre-order.
They aren’t the only ones either as UK video-game outlet GAME are also offering pre-orders for Fallout 4 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, though the fifty quid price-tag is a little on the high side.
Meanwhile, Amazon US has the game listed with the option to pre-order, though under the hilarious title of “Generic Bethesda Title” with a release date of December 31st. Obviously this is a placeholder date, but it’s an interesting one. Amazon usually list games with such dates as December 31st if they believe the game will be shipping before the end of the year, so this could possibly be an indication that we’ll be seeing Fallout 4 before the end of the year.
Interestingly, Bethesda’s own store listed the game as being “TBA 2015,” though the site has since removed the “2015” part of the listing. Maybe the release date was to be the last surprise at this year’s E3? We’ll just have to wait and see on that one.
[Update] Bah, humbug! Amazon has changed the listing to read ‘Fallout 4′ rather than the rather amusing “Generic Bethesda Title.”
