Bloodstained has been a phenomenal success over on Kickstarter – it’s currently sitting on $3.2 million and it still has another 9 days to go.
Over the course of the Bloodstained‘s Kickstarter campaign more and more goals have been added to entice would-be backers to lay down their support for the Castlevania-inspired side-scrolling adventure.
Today the game’s creator, Koji Igarashi, has updated the Kickstarter page to announce that Bloodstained will be getting a DRM-free release on GoG due to the large amount of requests from fans.
“Over the course of the campaign we’ve gotten a steady flow of requests from people who were interested in a DRM-free version of Bloodstained. Today we have good news: We’re teaming up with GOG.com, some of the best people in the DRM-free business, to make it happen.”
Cracking news for PC owners who like their games to be free of pesky DRM.
Bloodstained still has just over a week to go so if you’re interested in backing the project, you can do so here. Go on, let’s get Bloodstained on on the PS Vita; heaven knows the thing needs more games.
