Progression carries over to the full game, too
Square Enix has announced that PlayStation players will be getting access to a free demo for the upcoming action-RPG, developed in partnership with Platinum Games, and it’s dropping on February 25th for PS5 and PS4.
Typically, free demos are a rarity these days. Long gone are the days of those demo discs and their funky menu music. Square Enix has been at the forefront of the revival of game demos, and so it’s a nice move to give players access to a decent portion of the game ahead of release. And it really is a decent portion.
The Babylon’s Fall demo will give players access to the opening section of the game with hours of story content can be played, either alone or in co-op with up to four players. The presser states the Babylon’s Fall demo has “limitless” multiplayer, so if you and your mates want to put in some serious hours grinding your characters ahead of the game’s full release on March 3rd, you can. And it won’t be for nothing, either, as your progress all carries over to the full release, as do any trophies you earn during your demo period.
Babylon’s Fall will release on March 3rd, 2022, but if you order the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll get full access to the game from February 28th, 2022. What’s more is that all players, regardless of platform or whether the game was pre-ordered or not will get free access to the Babylon’s Fall Premium Battle Pass during the game’s Season 1 period. After that, expect ongoing support with new game modes, more story content, weapons, and other content drops, all at no additional cost, according to Square Enix.
