Coral Island: Fishing And Catching Bugs
![Catching Bugs in Coral Island](https://thegamescabin.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/coral-island-bugs.jpg)
Like with most farming sims, Coral Island likes to introduce new players to game mechanics slowly. Once you get to grips with the initial stages of farming, by around day three you’ll receive a message in the mail to visit Sunny and Eleanor at The Beach Shack. There, they will gift you with a starting net and rod to catch fish and bugs. These are great options for obtaining money early in-game whilst you wait for your crops to grow.
You can also forage for items to sell. Avoid selling wildflowers in the early game as you can save these for Bee Houses to make honey later, which will yield a greater profit. Other flowers may drop wild seeds when picked, and other forage items such as mushrooms can be picked and sold for additional coin in the early game.
You can also adjust the settings to allow your in-game days to stretch longer, giving you more time to fish and catch bugs. To do so, go to ‘Settings’ and lower the percentage of ‘Game Time Speed’. This can be helpful if you want to get a full day of fishing in on a rainy day as it can otherwise be a time-consuming activity.
Coral Island: The Best Spring Crops

Of the spring seeds, daisies are the most profitable, but only if you have the capability of turning them into honey. To make honey from the flowers you’ll need to unlock the recipe and craft bee houses. To do so, you must reach catching level two. This is relatively simple to do, just spend a couple of in-game days practising catching bugs with the net (gifted by Eleanor on day three of spring). Once you’ve achieved catching level two and unlocked the Bee House recipe, make several of these ahead of time for your first yield of daisies.
Bee houses require 30 wood and 5 Bronze Ore to make. Wood is a plentiful resource on the farm, Bronze Ore will require some exploration of the mines which will unlock after day five of your game. You can also buy it from the blacksmiths, but this will cost you 100 gold each and is easy enough to get from level one onwards of the mines.
Place your daisies inside the bee house and it will make honey which you can sell for 205 gold each. This is a profit of 190 gold each within your first month of the game, which should set you up nicely for more crops and the handy backpack upgrade sold at the general goods store.

Coral Island How To Make Money From Trash
![Coral Island Finding Coffers in Trash](https://thegamescabin.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/coral-island-trash.jpg)
Collecting piles of trash can be more profitable than you think. Often, you’ll find building resources in trash piles, if you’re lucky you may also find a Coffer which can yield rare and valuable items. Simply take them to the blacksmith’s where they will open them for you for 20 gold.
The Recycling Centre is near the farm and will start with dozens of piles of trash you can rummage through, you will also start the game with several piles of trash on your land, so you have good odds of finding something valuable. You can also rummage through trash cans located throughout the town and outside houses.

Another simple thing to do is follow the tutorial quests. These are put in place to teach you basic gameplay mechanics. If you’re a veteran of farming games you may scoff at this and feel like you already know how to play, but the tutorial missions are an easy way to earn a few hundred coins per quest. This means more seeds, more honey, and an easy way to obtain the crucial first backpack upgrade for your trips to the mines.
