More zombies? Why not!
The guys and gals behind Dead Island, Deep Silver, have announced the special edition of the upcoming sequel to Dead Island – Dead Island: Riptide.
Available on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, the Dead Island: Riptide Rigor Mortis Edition will feature a few extra goodies for those who are willing to shell out a little more cash than the rest.
The Rigor Mortis edition includes the following extras:
- Suitcase Packaging
- Alternate box art
- Digital strategy map
- In-game unlockable content
- Zombie hula girl bobble figurine
- Severed hand bottle opener/fridge magnet
- Bungalow key with wooden tag
That’s a fair few bonuses that includes some actual physical stuff instead of the usual digital content. At least you can show off your severed hand bottle opener to friends at a party…
The first-person zombie slaying title will be competing against another zombie themed release in the form of Activision’s The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct which releases shortly before in March. Something tells me that Deep Silver won’t be too worried, especially after the leaked gameplay footage of Activision’s latest attempt to cash in on a popular license.
Dead Island: Riptide will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC from April 23rd in North America and April 26th in the UK and Europe.
Hopefully Dead Island: Riptide will have a better launch than it’s predecessor, what with the many bugs and issues that took way too long to resolve.
Personally, I’m still hopeful for a Left 4 Dead 3, but in the mean time Dead Island: Riptide will have to do.
