Liked that cheeky little reference to Thief up there, didn’t you? It’s a shame the two games released so close to one another, as they’re both great stealth games in their own rights. Unfortunately for Thief and it’s publisher Square Enix, players just didn’t seem to get along with Thief after Dishonored came and stole the show.
If you’re one of the few who didn’t gush over Dishonored when it first released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, you’ve now got the opportunity to join the crowds and finally understand what everyone’s been chatting about for the last few years. As far as remasters go, Dishonored: Definitive Edition is as standard and cookie-cutter as they come. It looks better and it runs a lot smoother, but it’s still not quite up there with the likes of The Last of Us: Remastered or Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but it’s good enough, and even more so at £7.49 thanks to Amazon’s deal.
Unfortunately, it’s only cheap on the Xbox One, so if you’ve pledged your allegiance to a console that doesn’t have Microsoft’s logo tacked onto it, you’re out of luck. For those who do game on the Xbox One, you can enjoy a cheap and cheerful treat. With Dishonored 2 coming out sometime this year, it’s always good to be up to date story-wise.
You can pick up a physical copy of Arkane’s stealthy adventure for less than the price of a pack of smokes in London. Not a bad deal by any account.
