How To Unlock Ariel In Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are a few steps required to unlock Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Most characters are commonly unlocked by opening their worlds up inside the main castle and completing their individual quest lines. However, Ariel’s begins a little differently.
Firstly, you’re going to want to unlock the Dazzle Beach area. If you’re new to Disney Dreamlight Valley, simply progress through the main story for a bit, and you’ll unlock it as part of the onboarding process. It’s not particularly challenging, but you will have to put some work into raising the friendships on your island and earning Dreamlight.
Upon entering Dazzle Beach, you may find an island to the side with a broken raft and a shovel nearby. Simply pick this up, and it will begin a quest line called The Mysterious Wreck involving Goofy and restoring the raft to its former glory.

HowTo Complete The Mysterious Wreck Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
After picking up the shovel and speaking to Goofy as part of the quest, you will then be tasked to complete a material gathering mission. This will probably be one of the first more demanding quests in the game, with many key items eluding you on their location.
To make things easier, it’s recommended to open up the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor areas in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This will require Dreamlight to remove the thorns, so try and complete as many challenges as possible to boost your wallet. You can begin gathering the resources required before, but considering some are locked to these locations, it’s much easier to be prepared first.
Once you’re ready, you will need the following items which can be found in these locations:
- 30 Hardwood: Found exclusively on the ground in the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor
- 7 Rope: You will need to fish for seaweed, which can be easily completed by using your fishing rod in areas that are not glowing fishing spots. Once collected, you can 1 piece of seaweed into 5 pieces of fiber. You will then need 8 pieces of fiber to make one rope.
- 25 Clay: In the Glade of Trust, dig randomly around in the dirt area surrounding the ponds. You will find clay every few attempts at digging.
- 10 Iron Ingots: Mine deposits in the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor to randomly find iron ore and coal. Once you find 5 of these and 1 piece of coal, you can craft one iron ingot on a crafting bench.
After gathering all these, visit a crafting station and create the Raft Repair Kit, before returning to the broken raft. With the kit in hand, you can repair the raft and use it to travel to a new location – an island where Ariel is residing.
After speaking with her, she’ll ask you to build her house in your valley. Simply return to your home and build her castle anywhere applicable in the water. Once completed, you will then have Ariel in Disney Dreamlight Valley and can begin building up your friendship level with her.
