There are a lot of materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and it can be extremely tough to keep a track of where everything actually is. It’s not long into your playtime you’ll be chasing down various herbs and fish to create a whole array of different crafting options and recipes.
In its Early Access state, Disney Dreamlight Valley isn’t the most intuitive when it comes to tracking down what you need, and as a result, can leave you slightly confused about where you may need to go. One particular fish that is eluding players is the Walleye, which is required for Friendship Quests later in the game. Thankfully, it’s simple to get, albeit a lengthy process.

How to get Walleye in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Fish in the Sunlit Plateau biome
In order to get a Walleye in Disney Dreamlight Valley, your first port of call is going to be unlocking the Sunlit Plateau biome. As you’ll find out early on in the story, unlocking biomes is done by removing thorns using Dreamlight points. If you’re struggling to get enough points, it’s worth checking your Dreamlight Duties tab in the menu, as this is filled with easy, repeatable quests to earn the currency. You’ll need 7,000 Dreamlight points to remove the thorns to the Sunlit Plateau, with the entrance residing on a ramp next to your house.
As you explore the Sunlit Plateau in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll notice there’s not too much to look, outside of a few bones and trees. However, there are a few fishing spots, and this is where you will find your Walleye. It’s not the most common of fish, so it’s recommended to use the blue and golf fishing spots to attempt to retrieve one.
Fix Moana’s boat on Dazzle Beach
After securing Moana for your Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can begin working on raising your friendship level with her, which will involve you fixing up a boat on the beach. Most of Moana’s quests involve resource gathering, but it’s worth the extra work.
Once the ship has been tidied up, Moana will begin bringing in fish that you may be able to claim Walleye on one of her drops. It’s worth noting that the further you progress in her Friendship Quests, the more likely you are to receive rarer fish, so be sure to keep pursuing those levels.
