A couple of weeks ago we told you that Driveclub was getting some rather nice additions. It’s already had a sneaky visual update that was delivered in a patch, but the game is also set to receive some more visual tweaks.
The latest addition to the game is tyre deformation. Yay. Ok, it’s not the most exciting thing in the world, but it’s nice enough to have it all the same. There’s a short clip down below, as well as an image.
One of the details you already know about is tire deformation for cars. Great for those who love taking photos. pic.twitter.com/tTk9wCnyXQ

#DRIVECLUB tire deformation can of course be seen during gameplay, but just like in real-life its a subtle effect. pic.twitter.com/ZxcL9RJzyD

According to Paul Rustchynsky, the effect is a purely visual one as the simulation for tyre deformation is already in the game. Fair enough, no need to bamboozle us with technical jargon on this occasion, then.
There’s also a new update coming in the month of December that’ll allow players to finally change the difficulty of the game. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s definitely needed. Many players have complained that they can’t progress any on the higher difficulty events due to the, er, higher difficulty? Expect that update to go live in December, but keep an eye out on The Games Cabin for more news in the coming days.
