There’s a new trademark that has been filed today that will surely perk a few ears up; Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
The trademark was filed today in Europe by long-time EA representative JA Kemp. The trademark notes that the trademark is for computer game software, other than that, there’s nothing else to go on.
From the trademark filing:
Goods and services
9 Computer game software; downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; video game software.
41 Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game; Provision of information relating to electronic computer games provided via the Internet.
We do know that Mirror’s Edge on PS4 and Xbox One will be out before March 31st 2016, but it had previously been reported that the game would just be called Mirror’s Edge. Maybe this trademark could be for a separate project? We’ll have to wait and see.
[Update] Yikes, looks like this trademark being made public has forced EA’s hand as the firm has acknowledged the ‘Catalyst’ subtitle on the official Mirror’s Edge Twitter with the following image.
