Well isn’t this a nice little surprise? Ubisoft’s next entry in the Far Cry franchise is going to be taking place in the Ice Age.
Originally teased via a stream before being outed by IGN Turket on twitter, Far Cry: Primal looks to be getting an unveiling rather soon.
For the time being Ubisoft is keeping quiet and seems content in letting the internet go mental over the latest news. We’re not sure yet whether Far Cry: Primal will be a full retail release, DLC for the bonkers Far Cry 4 or release as a standalone add-on a la Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. It’s also unclear as to whether this one will be another cross-gen release, though it seems unlikely as Ubisoft has already declared it will no longer be supporting the PS3 and Xbox 360 with big releases.
We expect Ubisoft will come clean sooner than later; the writing is on the wall, excuse the pun.
