A little earlier today we showed you the box-art for Far Cry Primal. It’s quite a nice one, too, and it’s an ahem far cry from other games in the series.
The pre-historic adventure is due out on February 23rd for the Xbox One and PS4, while PC owners will wait until March to get down and dirty in the open-world caveman escapade.
We actually expected Far Cry Primal would be a downloadable title, but it’s instead a full release that will serve its own purpose. As such, there’s a retail box, but we also expect there to be a digital version – there’s a digital version for everything these days.
Pre-orders are now open for the game in North America, the UK, and Europe. In North America you’ll pay the full $60 (ouch) while residents of Great Britain will similarly pay the full retail price of around £45. Prices in Europe will of course vary by retailer. Some outlets will sell the game at 59.99€ whereas others are likely to bump the price up to the extortionate 69.99€. Unfortunately, that’s just how things go in mainland Europe.
For the time being there’s just the standard edition available, but it’s only a matter of time until the inevitable collector’s edition, special editions, and limited editions are announced.
You can pre-order your copy from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk.
