A few weeks ago, Ubisoft shocked us all by announced Far Cry: Primal for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It came as a surprise as we’d heard nothing about it. Literally nothing. Not even a whisper or a leak. The game is set some 10,000 years before the present day and promises to be an all new adventure.
While the game’s setting and ways of fighting may be new for the series, some things never change. The game will be riddled with violence and adult themes, as stated by the classification given to Far Cry: Primal by the Australian ratings board. It also mentions that there will be mild drug-use (not a game for Ozzy Osbourne, then) and will feature moderate sex and nudity. Cavemen and cave-women getting their fruits on sound appealing to you? Bear in mind that in the game’s time period, showers, deodorant, and general genital care hasn’t been invented yet, so you may want to keep your libido in check. Filthy sods…
As expected, it looks like there will also be on online multiplayer component, too, though, again, we’re not all that surprised by it. The game has also been awarded a rating of M15+, though we suspect some less than vigilant parents will still buy this one for little Timmy and Tina.
Far Cry Primal releases on February 23rd for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s a full release, too, not an extra downloadable story a la Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which, incidentally, is also a part of December’s PS Plus lineup.
