Hades Companions (or Legendary Keepsakes) are summon items that allow you to use your friends’s power in battles, but to acquire them, you have to evolve the level of trust between you and your allies, and fulfill their final wishes in order to earn their keepsake and always keep them close to you.
Companion Battie
Companion Battie is obtained by reaching a high level of trust with Megaera, and then gifting her Ambrosia.
Achieving a high level of trust with Megaera can be done by using Nectar, one of the several artifact currencies in the game. It can be gifted to characters to increase your affinity with them. Gifting Megaera 5 or 6 nectars will improve her trust in you and unlock her personal quest, after which you can give her ambrosia to complete the rest of her heart levels.
You can get Nectar at the end of each run, or by checking the Wretched Broker and Charon shop regularly. He will sell Nectar sometimes for five cthonic keys or for 10 gemstones. Some boons like Poseidon’s Sunken treasure and the Premium Vintage from Dinoysus help you by increasing the chance of dropping Nectars, or by immediately gifting you a Nectar. Completing infernal trove challenges, and also fishing can sometimes yield you a Nectar.
Ambrosia is a special artifact currency that is very important for closing the deal with any character you form a relationship with. You can also trade them at the Wretched broker, and by defeating the bosses of Elysium and you will gain them naturally by completing the main campaign. Fulfilling prophecies (Hades’s version of side challenges) can also give you Ambrosia.
Using Battie in battle will summon Megara herself, a 2500 AOE hard hitter similar to her boss fight attack.
Companion Mort
Companion Mort is obtained by following the same process but with Thanatos, and using it of course will summon Thanatos to aid you in battle. A similar AoE attack with 3500 damage in a wide area will be inflicted after he is summoned.
Companions can be used once per battle encounter in Hades, and up to 5 times per run through upgrading them Ambrosia. Or even more, if the Night Spindle is bought from the Well of Charon.
The Well of Charon is an interactive shop that can be found in the underworld which gives purchasable temporary buffs to assist escape attempts. However, wells do not spawn during the first run, or the first four chambers of Tartarus, nor do they spawn within two chambers next to each other, or three in Tartarus. A well of Charon is guaranteed to appear in the Stairway immediately following a boss.
Thanatos is not found at your home, but he appears at regular encounters randomly and challenges Zagerus to a killing contest. If Zagreus either kills more enemies than Thanatos does or ties his total, he will award Zagreus a Centaur Heart in addition to the regular room-clear reward.
Companion Rib
Obtained through reaching a high bond level with Skelly. Skelly appears in your home after you purchase your first weapon. Be careful because he won’t give you his quest after raising the trust level with him using six nectars until you’ve unlocked 4 non-Zagreus aspects of weapons. After you’ve done that, on your next run he should offer the new quest.
He will ask you to kill him with the Stygian Blade; however, the blade needs to have unlocked its level 5 Aspect of Zagreus, which will cost you 5 Titan Blood. When you have this Aspect unlocked, you will be able to “kill” Skelly and free him from his contract. To get Titan Blood, you need to defeat bosses and claim bounty rewards, in addition to trading with the shops we have mentioned before.
It has to be known that this companion is the only one that does not need permission from Hades to be used against him, unlike previous companions. Companion Rib creates a distraction on the field by shouting and attracting enemies to it until his health is completely depleted.
Companion Shady
Companion Shady is obtained by reaching a high level of trust with Sisyphus, and then gifting him Ambrosia. Using Shady will summon Sisyphus and his companion Bouldy to do a wide-area attack and drop a care package before leaving. There is no other restrictions on its usage.
How to complete Sisyphus’s final favor quest?
After you get to know Sisyphus, he will introduce you to Bouldy, but it’s not required to give nectar to Bouldy. After starting the quest, you need access to the Administrative Chamber (purchased through the House Contractor), and then talk to Megaera who needs to be at 5 hearts and Hades about Sisyphus’s situation.
A talk with a 5-heart next is also required after that about the admin chamber (which can also be triggered by advancing Orpheus and Eurydice’s storyline). Finally, A follow-up conversation with Nyx about Sisyphus’ plight, in which she tells you the location of his file in the Admin Chamber.
After finding the document in the Admin Chamber, speak to the House Contractor to purchase the Knave-King’s Sentence for 4 Diamonds. (From shops or bounties or defeating Bone Hydra).
The next conversation you have with Sisyphus will earn his favor and complete the End to Torment prophecy in the Fated List of Minor Prophecies.
Companion Fidi
Companion Fidi is obtained by reaching a high level of trust with Dusa, and then gifting her Ambrosia. Summoning Dusa will allow you to attack with damaging and pretrifying shots at enemies for 30 seconds.
Dusa’s faovr involves the lounge renovations. Using the house contractor to complete a minimum of 12 Lounge-focused renovations, which must include at least one rug for the area as well as cleaning up Cerberus’s fur and the scratches he left in the floor. After doing this, ambrosia can be given to Dusa.
Getting gems for renovation in Hades as fast as possible can be from fishing rewards, and prophecies as well. Taking poseidon’s keepsake increases the gem drop rate. Getting perfect catches in fishing can also net you better rewards for exchanging with gems.
Companion Antos
Companion Antos is obtained by reaching a high level of trust with Achilles, and then gifting him Ambrosia. Using Antos in battle will summon Achilles and Patroclus to aid you. They will appear briefly and deal 1500 damage to 2 foes one after the other.
After reading level 6 trust with Achilles, his favor quest unlocks, which requires finding a way to reunite him with his lifelong partner Patroclus. Granting their wish will require locating a pact with the help of Nyx, and it will cost 5 diamonds to grant Achilles’s wish at the House contractor.
Nyx’s trust level is needed for some companion quests in Hades, although she doesn’t give any companion in return. Her quest requires a certain amount of the darkness currency, which can be obtained in many ways mentioned in the article, such as Poseidon’s boons and Well of Charon.
