Hardware Rivals is available to play in its beta form on the PS4, though you’ll need to be a PS Plus member to be able to download and play.
We’ve been playing it a ton and even have a short preview with a bit of gameplay footage if you’re interested in hearing/seeing how the game plays.
It’s a cracking little game and we’ve been enjoying it immensely, but one thing that’s been griping us is the somewhat flaky connection to the game’s online service. It actually started out strong, but as more and more people flocked online to enjoy the vehicular combat, the connection issues started to become more apparent.
Thankfully a new patch has been pushed out that helps cure those online connection woes. The latest Hardware Rivals patch is version 1.03 and the patch notes simply state that it improves game connectivity, which it does.
The previous patch also aimed to ease the growing pains of the popular beta, as well as being improvements to the game’s overall performance, a few gameplay tweaks, some additional game modes and some general bug fixes.
If you want to get online with Hardware Rivals’ PS4 beta, you’ll have to update your game to the latest version.
