Life is Strange has proven that Telltale Games isn’t the only developer capable of bringing episodic, story-driven games to the market. Square Enix-published and Don’t Nod developed Lift is Strange has been a critical success with players and critics lauding praise on the game, though some did find the last episode a bit derailing from the rest of the experience.
The game and its episodes are only available via download on the PSN, Xbox Live games store and Steam. For now. However, it looks like we’ll see a physical release with all episodes bundled in together as part of a limited edition if online retail giant Amazon is to be believed.
The German Amazon site has listed Life is Strange – Limited Edition for a physical release across PS4, Xbox One and PC with a supposed release date of January 22nd. Also, instead of being published by Square Enix, this physical bundle will be published (at least in Germany and presumably the EU) by Kock Media.
There’s nothing official as of yet, but as per usual we’ve sent off an email to see if there’s anything more to be said on the matter. But yeah, we can assume this is for real. Amazon doesn’t really start selling things that don’t exist, not yet anyway.
