Microsoft’s HoloLens is an exciting prospect for gamers; the possibility to dive head first – quite literally – into action blockbusters, racing simulators and out-of-this-world adventures certainly has its appeal, but we’re still some way off from seeing it in living rooms.
A new trademark was filed on May 20th by Microsoft for something named ‘HoloPet’, which is obviously related to the HoloLens virtual reality hardware, though there’s nothing particular being noted about it other than that it’s for use with computer and virtual reality software.
Hmm. Going by the name, I’d personally hazard a guess at a virtual reality pet game of sorts. Always wanted a pet rhino…
Just please, for the love of Halo, don’t let this be what Rare is working on.
What do you reckon? Virtual reality pet simulation a good idea? Certainly less potty training involved…
