Nintendo fans have been craving some Minecraft love for a long time now, and what did they get for their efforts? Minecraft: Story Mode. Nobody asked for that, Microsoft. Last weekend, the Cabin informed you that a pretty big Nintendo announcement was coming on Monday, and there’s no prize for guessing that the announcement was an impending Wii U release of Minecraft. It’s actually arriving even sooner than you might expect, with a launch set for the 17th of December at a price of $29.99. We can’t wait for the inevitable Yoshi skins.
You’ll even be able to play using the Wii U’s second screen if your significant other is watching Downton Abbey reruns on the big screen – cool! Then, of course, there’s a host of downloadable bits and bobs for the game, which you can see in the list below.
