The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swung into cinemas a couple of weeks ago, and now hot on the trails of the fantastic movie (if you haven’t seen it yet, bookmark this page, run out the house and get yourself to your nearest theatre!) Activision’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game has now released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Wi U, 3DS and, surprisingly, Microsoft’s Xbox One.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was previously tipped to release across all platforms, minus the PS Vita, but then in a cruel twist Activison stated that the Xbox One version was delayed, even going as far as removing the Xbox One version from the game’s website, prompting some to speculate that the title wouldn’t be releasing on the Xbox One at all.
However, with the release of Spidey’s latest adventure comes a welcome surprise. If you browse the Xbox Games Store in the US, you’ll find that you are able to buy, download and play The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There’s no official word from Microsoft nor Activision, so we’re happy to just take this one at face value.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game takes place after the events of the movie, so playing the game before seeing the film won’t spoil your movie-going experience.
