EA are money grubbing turd merchants, Xbox Live Gold is expensive and a new Call of Duty game will be releasing later this year.
Some things never change…
This comes straight from Activision and it’s CEO during a Q4 earnings call with investors. The as of yet nameless sequel is officially under development and if the past is anything to go by, it’s going to be an Infinity Ward title.
Last years Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 by Treyarch really did some good for the franchise. The single player campaign was the longest in recent memory, and had re-playability with its branching stories and optional routes that ultimately lead to a different ending. Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 3 was a 3 hour affair of corridors and fancy explosions with an unsatisfying end to what should have been a decent trilogy.
Let’s hope Infinity Ward don’t make the same mistakes as last time, instead they should take a leaf from Treyarch’s book; try some innovation.
So, later on this year, probably November time, expect there to be another Call of Duty game on shelves, more than likely bearing the creative title of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
