UPDATE: There’s also a Xbox 72o scam much in the same vein and more than likely by the same person/people/things. Don’t be suckered in, share with your friends and avoid getting stung!
There’s a new scam doing the rounds via Facebook, so this is just a warning to save you the pain and embarrassment.
There’s a Facebook Page that has recently been set up under the name ‘PlayStation Network.’ and they are promising to give away PlayStation 4 consoles for you to test, stating that Sony needs testers for the new console.
Once you click the link provided, you’ll be asked to fill out a survey, but no matter how many times you fill out this survey or enter this ‘competition,’ you will never win a PlayStation 4, it’s a scam. Don’t be fooled by the Facebook page, and if you can, warn your mates not to bother clicking the links.
A similar scam came to light a few days ago stating that those who entered a competition would be granted beta access to Modern Warfare 4. This was also a bag of lies, designed to scam you and make the con-man (or woman, they do crime too you know!) a quick buck.
Just be vigilant, and remember, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is. (Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified anyone?)
