Oh Driveclub… It’s hard to not feel sorry for the guys and gals over at Evolution, they’ve not had the best of starts with their PS4 exclusive racer.
It’s not all doom and gloom though and somewhere over the horizon shines the game that it should have been at launch, but in the meantime we’re still stuck with issues.
Many players are still reporting issues with the in-game challenges whereby they get booted from the game and directed towards an error report. This particular author knows only too well the trials and tribulations of Driveclub’s challenges; they are, to put it bluntly, a pain in the arse.
It’s not the end of the world though and it is being looked into as we type, according to Driveclub’s Game Director the problem is game-side and they are “urgently fixing” the issue. Poor buggers just can’t catch a break at the moment.
Like I said earlier, it’s not all doom and gloom, in fact things are looking up for the realistic-racer; the nifty Photo Mode has been recently implemented and Evolution are going to be making some tweaks to the drifting mechanics in the future. Hopefully that’ll put an end to veering off course around those tight Canadian corners…
There’s still no word on the Driveclub PS Plus Edition, but we’ll keep you updated when more is known.
Still, even if it’s a while before the PS Plus Edition rears its head, the full game is pretty cheap over on Amazon, so maybe it’s worth just taking the plunge?
