Far Cry 4 is one of this year’s most anticipated shooters and as such it will be going head to head against the likes of Halo and CoD as well as competing for the attention from Destiny players.
Ubisoft’s Creative Director of Far Cry 4 isn’t worried though, he seems to think Far Cry 4 will do just fine. In a reply to a fans concern over Halo and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare competing against Far Cry 4, Alex Hutchinson took some time to ease the worries and let everyone know that based on previous release dates everything will be fine.
@ShotbyRon@Lillestoel@LegacyZ3RO All three of those games (us included) have released alongside each other before and we’ve all done fine.

As well as reassuring fans that competition is good, the director also stated why Far Cry 4 won’t run at 1080p 60FPS.
@dj_backbreaker@fender211pi We’d have to simplify the art, have less people or events on screen or make other sacrifices.

It may annoy some people that Far Cry 4 won’t run at the full 1080p 60fps, but it’s not the end of the world and if it means that we get a much richer world because of it, then I’m personally happy to overlook a few frames and pixels here and there.
Far Cry 4 is out from November 18th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. You can still pre-order your copy from Amazon UK and get the exclusive Blood Ruby DLC.
