Insomniac’s first multi-platform title Fuse has a demo on the way, and the folk over at EA have been kind enough to give us a release date for the demo.
Fuse’s demo will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from May 7th and will allow you to try out each of the four playable characters either solo, split screen with a buddy or online with up to four players , though you will require an EA Origin account for online play, as well as Xbox Live Gold if you intend to play on the Xbox 360.
Fuse is Insomniac Games’ first multi-platform game and is being published by Electronic Arts. There’s not been that much build-up for Fuse, leading some to wonder if it’s another case of EA not wanting to show the poor quality (Medal of Honor: Warfighter…) though the fact that there is going to be a playable demo before the full release has no doubt instilled hope in fans of Insomniac’s work and shows some confidence in the upcoming third-person shooter.
It’s also worth noting that the online component of Fuse will not feature any Online Pass, meaning if you happen to pick Fuse up second-hand sometime down the line, you won’t be stung with the £10/$15 Online Pass to get online.
Fuse is set to release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 28th in North America and May 31st in the UK and Europe.
