Battlefield 4 is currently being shown off, but not to the general public.
EA have apparently been displaying what Battlefield 4 is capable of, if GameStop’s J Paul Raines, CEO of the retailer, is to be believed.
A tweet on GameStop’s official Twitter feed reads:
“Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is wow. Thanks EA for the sneak peek. Can’t wait for you all to see it.”
It’s not the first we’ve heard about Battlefield 4, only a few weeks ago we found our that EA were working on Battlefield 4 and would be revealing more about the sequel to Battlefield 3 in the near future. At the time, we all thought it would be an E3 display, but it could well be one of the titles that gets put in the spotlight during today’s Playstation meeting, maybe.
Battlefield 4 is expected to release later this year, most likely in the usual November slot along with the other big releases, but the questions is, what will it be released on? It could well be a Playstation 4 and/or Xbox 720 launch title with a release on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, as they will still remain relevant for a few years down the line.
