For a while now it’s been rumoured that there would be a Hitman HD re-release, and now we have the official confirmation from Square Enix themselves that there will indeed be a Hitman HD Trilogy.
The Hitman HD Trilogy will include updated versions of the first three Hitman games to release on home consoles, so that’s Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts as well as Hitman: Blood Money.
The trilogy is set to release early next year in North America with a date of January 29th, and a few days later for Europe on February 1st on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Square Enix didn’t offer any news on how much the Hitman HD Trilogy will set you back, but several online retailers have it listed at around $39.99 for North America and £29.99 for the UK.
Personally, I think the older Hitman games were fantastic, with Hitman 2: Silent Assassin being a personal favourite, so I’ll definitely be picking this one up at some point in the New Year. Of course the other two are worthy of your time too, but I personally recommend the second entry in the series.
