Emulation is a great way to play the older games of yesteryear, but there are always those who will strive to emulate current consoles.
The Nintendo DS is still pretty popular around the world yet there are multiple emulators that allow you to play your Nintendo DS games on your PC, tablet or even mobile phone.
Enthusiasts have been waiting a while for a functioning Nintendo 3DS emulator. With the 3DS being fairly new technology it’s not an easy undertaking, but great strides have been made over recent months with the biggest step occurring this month.
The Citra3DS emulator is now able to boot fan-favourite Ocarina of Time. Whilst it’s still a long way from being a fully playable game, it’s a good start and supporters of emulation will no doubt be pleased.

Emulation is a bit of a gray area in terms of legalities. Whilst it’s generally considered OK so long as you are using your own copies of the game, many people opt to download illegal ROM’s (the files to play a game.)
You can check out a video of the Citra3DS emulator booting Ocarina of Time down below.
Impressive, right? Still, don’t get too excited, it’s still going to be a while until you’ll be happily playing all of your 3DS games in glorious HD on your PC, but it’s a good start. Remember, stay legal!
