Everyone and their mother knows by now that DriveClub is out and they’re also aware that it’s had a somewhat disastrous launch.
The servers weren’t fully operational come release day so online multiplayer was sketchy to say the least, then the reviews came out with mixed reactions and finally DriveClub PS Plus Edition failed to show up at the starting line. It’s all gone a bit, as us Brits would say, bollocks.
The poor guys and gals over at Evolution have had to bear the brunt of the fans reactions, with Sony sitting idly by. It’s a torrid state of affairs when the people who make the games are given abuse by the so-called “fans.” It’s one thing to direct hate at a company’s name where nobody is personally attacked, but it’s quite another to actively seek out the staff on Twitter and hurl abuse at them.
Not everyone has been so mindless, thankfully there are still some gamers who manage to remain rational, understanding and sympathetic human beings. Take a look at some of the messages of support from these real fans and remember that whilst we have the right to be passionate about our hobbies, it’s not fair to dish out personal attacks on the people who work hard to make it all possible.
@DRIVECLUB@Rushy33 love this game. So fun and so beautiful to look at. Would be nice to get some wheel options at some point. Great job

Wishing more luck to @Rushy33 and everyone at @DRIVECLUB today! I can imagine how stressed you all are, and the abuse doesn’t help.

Anthony Wordlaw (via DriveClub Facebook Page) Evolution just remember this much, from a teen who grew up in the 90s and lived his life inside an arcade, this game is exactly what I’ve been waiting for over a decade. Forget what you heard about the reviews just continue to support the game and make it better in your upcoming updates. I paid full price from the top so I really appreciate you and your team hard work. Keep the updates and add on coming.
@Rushy33 bought game today great game looks gorgeous looking forward to when challenges are available keep up the hard work

@DRIVECLUB Keep it up! Evolution Studios has my support all the way, ever since MotorStorm.
It’s wonderful to see real fans voicing their support for not just the game, but for the people who worked hard to make it a reality. Good on you all, well played. DriveClub is out now on PS4.
