You may have heard of Raven’s Cry and compared it to Ubisoft’s pirate themed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, with which it shares more than a few similarities.
Today, Sony Germany has released an official trailer for the PS4 version of the game which you can see below. Be warned, whilst it may share a few similarities with the graphically intense Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, it doesn’t share the same level of visual fidelity.
Check it out for yourself.
Pretty poor, right? Looks more like a late PS2/early PS3 game rather than a next-gen experience.
If you’re genuinely interested in the pirate game or just want to abuse your eyes further, check out the video below where you can watch around eight minutes of actual gameplay. Granted, it looks like it was filmed using a blender, but it’s probably not going to look much better in-person.
So when does Raven’s Cry come out? Well, it’s not exactly clear. The game was originally supposed to release last year on the PS4, PS3, PC and Xbox 360 but was delayed. The new release date penned in was January 2015.
However, the Xbox 360 version was supposed to release on January 14th in the EU, though Amazon UK doesn’t have it in stock nor is it available to order, whilst the PS4, PS3 and PC versions are available to pre-order with a release date of January 28th being attached.
So what about the Xbox 360 version? Well Amazon Italy reckons it’s coming May 7th whereas Amazon Germany just doesn’t have it at all.
We’ve reached out to the games’ publisher for some clarification for the release date and will keep you posted here.
