A job listing on the official website for Rockstar San Diego seems to indicate that the development studio is preparing/already is working on another open-world game.
The job listing states that “Prospective candidates need to the ready for the challenges posed by large scale open worlds with complex AI and physics.”
Whilst this isn’t definitive proof that Rockstar are creating the next Grand Theft Auto, it does give us a clue as to what’s going on with the studio. Recent rumours have suggested that a sequel to 20–‘s Red Dead Redemption may be in the works.
Red Dead Redemption was released back in 2010 to critical acclaim and went on to become on the companies highly regarded products, so it makes sense for a sequel.
Another possibility is a sequel to Bully and the adventures of the mischievous Jimmy Hopkins, something fans of the game have been asking for since shortly after its release.
Then again, it could GTA 6. With GTA V on the way for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, Rockstar will be wanting to repeat the success of GTA V on the next-gen consoles.
