Today Sega announced that the Wii U version of the critically panned Aliens: Colonial Marines has been cancelled, much to the anger of about four people worldwide.
Aliens: Colonial Marines was supposed to release in the March just gone though it never came, and now thanks to Sega, it never will. Probably…
“Sega can confirm that the Wii U sky of Aliens: Colonial Marines is no longer in development,” is the official word from the publisher.
This is probably the first time in gaming history that a game has been cancelled and instead of fans going mental and declaring war on the corporate suits, they’re probably thanking their lucky stars that the disaster didn’t taint the Wii U.
In case the rock you’ve been living under has no internet, Aliens: Colonial Marines launch on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC sent thousands of angry customers to forums and Twitter to complain about the dismal quality of the game and how the trailers were grossly misleading, something Sega has recently admitted to.
So, Wii U owners consider yourselves lucky, the Wii U is having a hard enough time as it without having total crap ported to it.
