As with the release of any major video game, there are pirates who refuse to pay for the product, as is true with Maxis and EA’s recent release of The Sims 4.
However, not all is well in the paradise of the pirates’ Illegally Gotten Booty Island. The pirated Sims 4 copies currently doing the rounds amongst torrent sites are pre-loaded with anti-piracy measure to ensure the thieves don’t get much enjoyment from their ill-gotten gains.
Take a look down below at the screenshots from some of the scallywags who pirated Sims 4.
As you can see in the pictures above, it’s unplayable. These users have been posting to EA forums, Reddit and other social media sites to complain of the games apparent “bugs,” unknowingly revealing themselves to be pirates.
EA has recently come under fire from fans of the long running Sims series for releasing The Sims 4 with many missing features that were present in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.
The Sims 4 is out now on PC and is available in stores and through EA’s digital game store Origin.
