UPDATE: Dan Conners comments were a little inaccurate, instead of coming late 2014, Telltale has stated that Season Two of The Walking Dead will actually be coming in late 2013.
The Walking Dead is immensely popular right now, first came the comics, then the television show, and then there was Telltale’s fantastic story driven point-and-click game The Walking Dead for the consoles and PC.
Such was the success that a sequel is planned, but for those of you who can’t wait to get your teeth into the next story, you’re going to have to just bear it, because Season 2 isn’t due until late on in 2014.
Speaking to Eurogamer after the BAFTA awards, CEO and co-founder of Telltale Games’ Dan Conners stated that “we’re aiming for fall next year,” but also that “we may have a little something extra for you between Season One and Season Two.”
A couple of days ago Gary Whitta of Telltale Games teased that there may be something coming a little sooner, something to fill the time between Season 1 and Season 2 of The Walking Dead. Mr Conners has all but confirmed this, even stating “we’ll probably have something to announce fairly soon about what we’re going to do.”
Also, when asked whether the next season would be coming to the PlayStation 4, Mr Conners was quite vague, but stated “I would think so, though, but it’s all going to depend on timing I guess. But we don’t have enough information from them [Sony] to announce it or anything.”
So fans of The Walking Dead, rejoice! There is at least going to be a second series in the episodic game, and in the mean time you can get your zombie fix with The Walking Dead television programme (this season is brilliant!) or why not jump into some Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2 and smash in some zombie brains until we get more info on what’s coming soon?
