Fans of 2K Games’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be happy to hear that they’ll be able to take their favourite game with them on the go as it is being released on iOS devices later this week.
What isn’t so good is the price, it’s bloody expensive. Coming in at just under $20, it’s one of, if not the most expensive mobile phone/tablet game to be released. To be fair, it’s a deep and engrossing game and is most likely going to be more than worth every single penny, it’s just a lot to sink into a mobile phone game, as well as the memory space it’ll take up.
You’ll definitely be getting your moneys worth with the content on offer as it’s more or less a straight port of the versions currently available on the home consoles and PC, albeit without multiplayer, but even that is getting released as a free update sometime after the game releases. Obviously it’s not going to be quite up to the same graphical standard, but that’s just about the only thing that’s going to change, well, that and the controls to accommodate touchscreen control.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be releasing for compatible iOS devices on June 20th for $19.99.
