PlayStation Now hasn’t been met with the proper amount of enthusiasm from gamers, which is a shame as it really is a decent bit of tech.
The stumbling blocks for the service so far have been the prices for rentals and the bloody awful PS Vita app. You can imagine our surprise, then, when we discovered the PlayStation Now PS Vita app had been updated. A collective “yippee!” sounded through The Games Cabin… until we actually took a moment to read the patch notes: Bug Fixes.
The latest update, version 2.01, apparently brings bug fixes to the PS Vita application. From what we’ve seen, nothing has really changed. The user interface is still unfriendly and game titles still appear with the wrong images. It works, but it’s far from an optimal experience.
We’re still waiting on custom control schemes and button mapping, but with the slow rate of progress so far, we may be waiting a long time for such an update.
