Ever since Generation Four, the Sneasel evolution Weavile has been a favourite amongst Pokemon fans. Thankfully, the Sharp Claw Pokemon is back in Scarlet and Violet. Whilst Weavile can be found in the wild, you might want to evolve your favourite Sneasel instead. Here is how to evolve Sneasel into Weavile in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How To Evolve Sneasel In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
The way to evolve Sneasel into Weavile is by levelling it up at night whilst holding a Razor Claw. Sneasel itself can be found across Dalizapa Passage and Glaseado Mountain, but you need to go somewhere specific to get the Razor Claw.
However, the answer to where to get the Razor Claw is a bit tricky. The Razor Claw can only be found at one of the Porto Marinada auctions. Rather than being constantly available, the various auction prizes change randomly with each day.
So, you will need to keep revisiting Porto Marinada each in-game day until one of the sellers announce they are auctioning off the Razor Claw.
After you finally win a Razor Claw, give it to your chosen Sneasel, level it up at night, and a new Weavile will be yours.
Whilst Weavile themselves can actually spawn on Glaseado Mountain, they are much rarer than Sneasel, making it easier to get one through evolution. Plus, this is the best method if you are trying to raise a competitive Weavile for PvP battles and Tera Raids, which involves breeding a baby Sneasel and eventually needing to evolve it.
