It’s been a pretty poorly kept secret and to be honest, we’re surprised Activision hasn’t made any sort of official announcement just yet, but it looks like we’ll be getting confirmation in just a few short hours.
We previously reported that Prototype would be getting a re-release on the Xbox One and PS4 along with the follow-up, Prototype 2.
A new product listing page has gone live on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the double pack being dubbed as the Prototype BioHazard Bundle. How much will it cost? Well, it’s not too bad actually. The page notes a price tag of $49.99 for both games along with a release date of July 14th.
What’s not mentioned is what’s different in the re-release. There’s no summary of improvements, but we suspect we’ll see a higher resolution and improved frame-rate, though this is Activision so it could easily go the other way…
Oddly enough, the bundle isn’t anywhere to be found on the PSN, though we’re confident it’ll arrive sooner or later, most probably as part of the store update later on today and most likely with the same price-tag.
There’s some screens down in the gallery below, though they’re nothing special and don’t really show much by way of improvements. Looks like we’re going to need to see this one in action to see if it’s worth the cash.
Will you be double-dipping with this double pack, or have you had it up to the ears with remasters? Hack and slash away in the comments.
