After hearing the painful cries of a thousand games being deleted to make room for newer releases, Sony has finally announced the PS4 1TB console. About bloody time, too.
The 1TB PS4 will release on July 15th in certain territories within Europe, though no pricing information has been offered.
As for North America, there’s no firm release date set in stone, but it’s extremely unlikely that Sony will take a pass on releasing the beefier console in the States.
It’s been a big annoyance of ours to have to constantly delete installs to make room for new releases – not to mention the obscenely large updates that some games get – so the larger hard drive will probably be welcomed with open arms. That being said, those who already own a PS4 are unlikely to buy the console again just for the extra storage, especially with such cheap solutions already available.
