Techland’s Dying Light may be having some issues surrounding its retail release, so here’s hoping that the next installment in their original Dead Island franchise can get to store shelves with minimal fuss.
Dead Island 2 is slated for a “2015 Q2” release, so anywhere within April, May and June.
However, online retailer Amazon UK seems to think that we’ll be getting Dead Island 2 on April 24th, at least according to their listing for the open-world zombie sequel.
Amazon’s Spanish website also suggests an April release date, though a little later on in the month with an April 30th date being attached.
Dead Island 2’s publisher Deep Silver has yet to give an official release date for the game, so take the above with a pinch of the ol’ sodium.
Dead Island 2 is the follow-up to the original Dead Island, though the original developers aren’t in charge of the game which has instead been passed on to German studio Yager Development who previously developed Spec Ops: The Line.
You can pre-order Dead Island 2 from Amazon UK here and get some extra DLC for free. Not bad.
