It seems that Microsoft is ready to reveal their next-gen console, supposedly called the Xbox 720, Xbox Infinity, or as the latest rumours suggest based on a new domain registered by Microsoft, Xbox Gold.
After the reveal of the PlayStation 4 (minus the PlayStation 4 itself…) it’s not too far-fetched to think that Microsoft will want to show off their latest console shortly afterwards, in the hope of killing off some off the PlayStation 4 hype and generating some for their console in the process.
Users on NeoGaf have found out that a new domain has been registered by a big event planning company named Eventcore, who are behind the registration of the “XboxEvent.com” domain.
It’s also worth noting that this is the same company that registered XboxE312.com, albeit they were a different company back then called U.S. Techs.
Now that the PlayStation 4 has been announced by Sony, it’s fair to say that the next-gen fanfare is booming loud and its only right that Microsoft will want in on the action, so keep an eye out for updates from The Games Cabin and most certainly expect a live-stream to be available for the event which is rumoured to be taking place in April with more on show at E3 later in the year.
